Vaccines for Gay, Bisexual and Other Men Who Have Sex with Men
Gay and bisexual men should receive all the vaccines recommended according to their age and health status. The Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices (ACIP) publishes its adult vaccination recommendations every year. You can view the recommendations here or download the app for your phone.
In addition, you can get vaccinated to prevent illnesses affecting gay, bisexual, and other men who have sex with men, including hepatitis A, hepatitis B, and meningococcal (meningitis) infections. The meningitis vaccine normally recommended for men who have sex with men is the MenACWY vaccine (Menveo or Menactra). Talk with your provider about which vaccines are right for you.
